Flowers from my heart

So my husband came home last night, flowers in hand... and cake.  As soon as I saw him, my eyes got teary and my lip started quivering.  "Congratulations, baby.  I'm so proud of you."  AW!  Ok, my hubby just won the husband of the year award.
(For those of you who are wondering why he is congratulating me, read the blog post before this one.  Super exciting!)
Thank you, Bryan.. for everything.  You've helped me more than you will ever know, and there is no way I could do any of this without your amazing support and help.

Jazz wanted to eat the leaves.  She's lucky she's cute.

Thought I'd use this opportunity to play with my macro lens.

Oh happy day!!

I checked my email this afternoon, and I see an email from what I thought was from a prospective bride.  As I read the email, I realized this was from the editor of one of my favorite wedding blogs..  RUFFLED!  http://ruffledblog.com/   My heart starts beating fast.. I try to read as fast as my heart is beating, but my mind is thinking "omg omg omg" so I have to go back and re-read it.  I calm my head and I read that she is interested in PUBLISHING my engagement session I submitted to her!  Ruffled is interested in publishing me!  This crazy grin appears on my face..  what do I do?  If you remember from a while ago, this has been a goal of mine from the beginning.  I get to check something off of my goal list!!  How fabulous is that!?  I immediately email my soon to be published bride to let her in on the good news, and immediately after that I update my facebook status..  because everything goes on facebook.
I can't wait to share with you the blog when it is done and published.  It will be -AMAZING- to say the least..  Well, for me anyway.
I hope you check out Ruffled and see what they are all about.  I love the vintage, DIY style.
For now, I will leave you with a picture from this e-shoot.  Feel free to be my friend on facebook!!  http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/Clearwater-FL/Jessica-Charles-Photography/285105999887
And one more very important link for you.  Lauren, this FABULOUS bride of mine, is an amazing artist too.  Like, really..  AMAZING!  You can check out her work at http://www.flickr.com/photos/yourhandwriting/sets/ and I hope you get your own original!

Holy Macro!

I just got some new toys!!  My favorite, my new macro lens.  After looking at this picture on my computer, I realized how FILTHY my ring was.  Out of the many pictures I took, this was the least dirty one, so I decided to post it anyway.  So if you have a wedding coming up with me, be prepared for some awesome up-close pictures of your rings.  And don't forget to clean them, and clean them well!

Jaclyn + Chris E-shoot

Jaclyn and Chris..  what an awesome couple.  And funny!!  Had so much fun getting to know this couple, acting up, laughing.. and oh yeah, taking pictures.  I love my job..  and the fact that I get to say this is my job!!  Thanks guys for making my job so perfect.  Beautiful day, beautiful couple, what more could I ask for?
I know your future wifey is hott, but eyes on top, buddy!!
Just adorable!!!

Chris is really in to golfing.  He was trying to explain to Jaclyn and I golfing terms and all that mumbo jumbo.  I think he was in heaven teaching Jaclyn how to swing.  Jaclyn, on the other hand, was "air rating" the lawn in her heels.

Those eyes!!  Hot momma!!

My favorite of the day

Chris swallowed a bug..  which gave me this awesome picture...
which then gave me this sweet picture.
When Jaclyn and Chris have babies, no doubt they will have some AMAZING eyes.

Lauren + Jason E-shoot

Let's talk candy..  eye candy.  MY eye candy.  Lauren.. well, she's just plain awesome.  And by plain I mean there is nothing plain about her.  AND Jason, her husband-to-be..  perfect match.  Ugh, let me make sense here for a second.  I love this couple.  I love their style and everything about their style.  I knew working with them was going to be BIG.  Why?  Because Lauren and Jason go big.  Their creativity levels are off the charts.  And CRAFTY!  I WISH I could take credit for the ideas you are about to see.  I was just there with the camera.  Lauren is this amazing, gifted, talented artist...  Go figure, right!  I would kill for her creative ability!  You can find her fabulous artwork at this link.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/yourhandwriting/sets/  Go get you some art!  She makes everything custom to how you want it!
Just wait to you see their incredible October wedding.  It's gonna be out of this world.

M.F.E.O. all the way
Lauren's legs are HOTT!!  Hello!

Where the sidewalk ends!?  Oh how I've missed you since I was a kid!
Let me just say...  stunning!!

This shot was unbelievably hard to get because it was windy that day.  Not complaining!  I love wind on a hot day.  The sign says "Better Together" made by Lauren herself.  Told you she was crafty!!

This picture was Jason's idea.  I LOVE how he was soooo enthusiastic about it.  And he was totally right!  I love this picture!!

The Airstream Ranch..  A Florida I4 landmark.

This picture totally reminds me of the poster of that movie "Big Fish"..  you see it?
In words of Jason "Airstreams of Love"

There is something I adore about this picture.  The way she's looking at him, maybe?  The moon poking through in the corner?  The rusticness of the airstreams?  Or is it Jason lookin all handsome in the back..  Let's say it's all of the above.
I couldn't decide which one I liked more.. so I'm posting both.

Paper hearts!!  What a simple but BRILLIANT prop idea!
Picture perfect
I hope you enjoyed these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.  Lauren & Jason, it was an absolute joy to work with the two of you.
